I wanted to focus more on designing non-fiction book covers with photography front and centre, and Edward White's 2021 novel 'The Twelve Lives of Alfred Hitchcock' was the perfect excuse!

I wanted to really embolden the 'icon' of Alfred Hitchcock, while implying something more mysterious, more aloof - as if we're peeking behind the curtain. Here are a handful of cover concepts that I put together, each with a different slant on the man himself. It was great fun putting these together, since people took plenty of fun, mysterious, and (often) bizarre photos of Hitchcock throughout his life.
