Here is my entry for the 2026 Penguin Random House Design Award in the Children’s Fiction Category — a redesign of A WRINKLE IN TIME (a favourite of mine!)

A cover for A WRINKLE IN TIME was always going to be challenging, as there have been dozens in the last 60 years. Creating something that would attract both the adults who enjoyed the book then and the children who will enjoy the book now was the biggest hurdle to overcome, but I’m glad I did it. My design is a throwback - rooted in the “kooky” pulp sci-fi designs of the 1960s, just with greater detailing and colour exploration. Bold, brave and bizarre, the cover and story are well-matched.
