Here are a few rough cover concepts I created for Octopus during my Hachette UK Summer Design Internship. This is a non-fiction title about how the brain impacts the heart, so I immediately set to work using those two organs as key icons. But HOW they were used was the tricky part!

I’m very happy with all the concepts I created for this cover, and I’m pleased that my internship pushed me outside my usual brand of books and helped me develop my skills in designing for a specific book buyer, that being online purchasers seeking a gift for someone in their lives.
