‘A Scanner Darkly’ by Phillip K. Dick is one of those books with a dark reputation behind it — a lesser-known novel by one of the greatest science fiction writers of all time, it’s gross and trippy and ever-so-slightly mad. I wanted to take a stab at a more “literary” book cover, where it’s less flashy and a bit more subdued. It’s a departure from my usual work, but I’m very pleased with how it’s turned out.
