‘Holes’ by Louis Sachar is one of those rare children’s books that is just as compelling to read as a child as it is as an adult. It was one of my favourites growing up, and I thought that for the upcoming 30th Anniversary, I’d put together my own cover design for it.

I wanted to go as minimalist as possible — stretching the concept to its most bare essential elements. I’m very pleased with how it turned out, and I think this is a cover that could appeal to readers of all ages.
